M42 Orion Nebula through Nexstar 5SE

This time-lapse has been recorded frame by frame with a DSLR camera with 30 seconds long exposition over a robotic altazimth mount. The Orion Nebula, also known as Messier 42, M42, or NGC 1976, is a diffuse nebula situated south of Orion’s Belt. It is one of the brightest nebulae that exist, and can be seen with the naked eye the night sky. It is located at 1300 light years from Earth, and has a diameter of approximately 24 light years. Some documents refer to it as the Great Nebula of Orion, and the oldest texts known as Ensis, a Latin word meaning “sword”, a name which also receives the star Eta Orionis, which is observed from Earth is very close to the nebula.
