Question by : Doubt in optics about telescopes and microscopes?
In a Telescope objective lens is larger and the eyepiece is smaller.while in the microscope objective lens is small and eyepiece is larger. But a inverted telescope doesn’t act as microscope. Why?
But when i see through my binoculars from the opposite side of eyepiece, things look magnified ,like i could see the fibers in the cloth.how’s that possible. Please help me.I cant find answers that satisfy’s me.
Best answer:
Answer by Raymond An inverted telescope DOES act as a microscope.
Just not a convenient one. The “depth of field” is atrociously narrow, making it very difficult to keep the specimen just at the right distance from the “eyepiece” while looking through the objective glass (or down to the objective mirror).
Binoculars are a good example of a telescope that can be “turned around” because the eyepiece of a typical binoculars have (comparatively) greater “eye relief” – the position where you can put your eyes when observing normally.
Once you turn the binoculars around (using them as microscopes) this eye relief becomes the depth of field you need.

Question by : I keep blowing speakers in my public address system (pa)?
it has a bogen m600 power amplifier at 70 volt 1200 watts and about 25 electro voice cobraflexes with 30 watt drivers at 70 volt. it also has a Behringer PEQ2200 which acts as an eq. we push the amp at where the clip/limit light flashes. we just seem to be putting alot of money into buying new drivers.
and six bogen celing speakers at a four watt tap @ 70 Volt. and four 20 watt speakers at 70 Volt
Sound system
Best answer:
Answer by lare did you read the instruction book of the bogen m600? the low cut switch needs to be in the 120 Hz position or you will indeed continue to blow out the drivers in your horn type speakers. you might want to back-up that function by lowering the gain on the EQ for frequencies below 120 Hz.

Answer by fhotoace A combination of high shutter speed, precise manual focus and using a tripod.
This may require raising the ISO setting to increase the shutter speed.
She needs to remember to set the cameras white balance to match the lighting in the room

Question by : Telescope accessories?
Hey everyone, I’m buying an 8′ dobsonian and I’m trying to do it as cheap as possible. I found the build a scope on Orion Telescopes website and I’m trying to figure in the accessories for it. Like I said I’m trying to do it as cheap as possible and i need some advice. I’m relatively new to telescopes but I can manage my self pretty well, I have a few questions when it comes to focusers and eye pieces. The options on the website to add to your telescope I found were over priced, so I’m trying to buy cheaper accessories somewhere else, they even have cheaper options on their website if you look. First question (probably stupid) is a focuser necessary? I’m presuming it is, but hey it cant hurt to ask. And what it the difference between 1.25″ and 2″ when it comes to eye pieces and the focuser. What should I go with and which one fits my telescope.
here is a link to the telescope it you need some info on it.
Thanks a bunch
do i need 1.25″ eye pieces for a 1.25″ focuser?
Best answer:
Answer by tham153 Orion is a good source for quality telescopes, and about as inexpensive as they come (expect for a few manufacturers of junk). That said, I don’t care for Dobs, but I seem to be a minority.
Focusers are very important unless you enjoy blurs.
Different size eyepieces do different amounts of magnifying. Fittings are standard, so size won’t matter.
What you want depends on what sort of observing you want, and whether you want to do photography, for which you need an attachment for the camera.

Question by Jon B: Telescope decision: Coulter Odyssey 13.1 Blue Tube, or Orion 100ED Apo?
4 inch apo refractor versus 13.1 inch reflector…which is better for image quality? Are the blue box Coulter optics bad? Are the Orion 100ed Apo optics overrated? Which is better and why?
Best answer:
Answer by GaryR This is like asking which is better for dinner, spaghetti or pork chops? Depends on what you want to do with the telescope. The Orion would certainly be a better choice if portability was a concern. The Coulter would be the better choice if deep space observations of very dim objects was the goal, and you had a semi-permanent or permanent location at which to set it up. Both are fine telescopes for the money. Neither is “better” per se.

How To Fold A Light Reflector (Photography Lighting Tool)
When I first got this reflector, it took me a while to figure out how to fold it back up into the circle pouch that it came with. I even Google’d for for a “how to” and found very little help. Hopefully this will help you fold your reflector, as it’s a lot easier when you can see it, rather than just read a description. It’s hard enough to figure out when you’re working with a tiny circle one, but with a huge reflector like this (I’m 6’4″) and rectangular shape makes it much harder. In case there’s any confusion, my hands are at opposite corners, and I twist my hands in opposite directions to fold it up into 3 circular layers. (by Phreaky-Zee) Video Rating: 4 / 5

Question by Klis: Please help me select the perfect DSLR for my needs ?
Ive been looking at both Canon and Nikon. I prefer Nikon as a make, but I am open to different opinions. I am also willing to buy a different make if it captures that shots that I am after better.
I am on a budget, so a range for lowest to expensive would be best
Ok, the SLR would need to be able to take everyday pics in good to low light conditions.
Land scape’s are my preferred picture format, so I would want in depth and sharp results.
I am also into Astronomy and would like to break into the Astrophotography market. So, which cameras are adapted to attach to telescopes (Meade) and if I was to use it with out a telescope which camera’s have the longest exposure periods to allow for the best shots of the night sky and stars
Cheers
Best answer:
Answer by Suraj Apart from Canon and Nikon you can also check out the likes of Olympus and Pentax. They have pretty good DSLRs in their range.
Also they are decently priced. Olympus cameras provide more bang for the buck. Check out the E520 which has some very good features like in body image stabilisation, live view and comes with 2 kit lenses.
